Submitting Repair Requests
If your building has enabled the ability for residents to submit repair requests through BuildingLink, you’ll see the option to do so right on the Home Page. In the "Building Info" section, click on the My Repair Requests button.
On the "Repair Request" screen, you will see any previously submitted repair requests that have not yet been completed by building staff. If you wish to view repair requests that have already been completed, check the "Include Closed Repair Requests" option.
To place a new request, click the Submit Repair Request button and fill out the form from top to bottom.
Editing Repair Requests
To edit an open repair request, click on the My Repair Requests button on the home page then click Edit/View Details next to the repair request you'd like to edit or delete.
To edit the selected repair request, just click the Edit button.
You can edit any information you entered on the initial work request. Remember to click the green Save button before leaving the page!
Viewing Repair Request Details and Adding Comments
To check the status of a repair request or to add a comment to an existing request, click the My Repair Requests button on the home page. Under the "My Repair Requests" section you will see the status of your work request as either "Open" or "On Hold." To see if a work request has been closed out, check the box next to "Include Closed Repair Request."
To see if additional comments have been added to a request, click Edit/View Details next to the repair request you'd like to see.
At the bottom of the request, you will see a section called "Activity Log." The activity log will show any comments or status changes made on the request. You can even add a comment to the activity log for the maintenance staff to see by clicking the green Add Comment button. Don't forget to click the Save button after adding your comment!
